Curb to Curb Service

Transportation for Detroit Area Agency on Aging (DAAA) is provided through a grant from Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) and Federal Transportation Authority (FTA). The service is available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The service is available to residents of the City of Detroit. You must be at least Sixty (60) years old or disabled to use the service and you will have to register with DAAA at least three (3) working days prior to your first use of transportation.

Cost per trip
$2.50 each way payable on vehicle

Number of day notice
3 or more days if not registered with us as a qualified rider or if registered, one day’s notice

Service Hours
8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

Who is eligible
Disabled and seniors age 60 and older in the city of Detroit (may require verification)

Service Area
DAAA service area plus East Pointe, Warren, Hazel Park, Ferndale, Oak Park, Southfield, Redford, Dearborn, Melvindale, River Rouge and Ecorse

Qualifying Trips
Medical Appointments, Dental Appointments, Therapy and Pharmacy

Pick up times once scheduled
Customers will be given a 20 minute pick up window. Once the vehicle arrives at your location, the vehicle will only wait a few minutes and then will leave so please be ready by the start of the window.

Ride Sharing
Rides can be shared with other customers (i.e. two people riding in the same vehicle) and emergency or urgent care rides will not be scheduled. Call 911 for emergency or urgent care.
